Now You Are Born

I loved reading this book. It followed a baby from birth to walking, talking and playing. However, for a baby, the words were too advanced. For a walking toddler, I guess it is best to present good descriptive words, but the words just seemed too hard for the child to read. The illustrations were gorgeous, so I guess if a parent was reading the book, it is fine.

Sweet memories and thoughts throughout the book remind me of the thoughts I had as a parent. Cute illustrations from the clouds give it a softer feel.

Wonderful story of a grandmother's love for her grandchild. The illustrations were absolutely amazing! I think any child would love the visuals of this book. I found the writing, as others have said, to be a bit on the more adult side. It almost seemed like a haiku poem writing style with more complex words than a child could understand.A gift for a new mother or grandmother would be perfect. But as a children's book, it might not hold the child's attention, at least with the wording.

Great illustrations! Sweet little baby book.

The pictures are colorful and full of vibrant emotion. The book may be a bit long for young children, but many pages just have illustrations, so the reader can choose how quickly to move through the book. The words in the story are mostly simple to read, so it could be a great read along book. I received a free copy of this book from the author.
