When we are feeling overwhelmed with stress or anxiety, one of the best things we can do for ourselves is to take a few moments to practice gratitude. This doesn't mean that our bigger problems go away; rather, it means that we are choosing to focus on the good in our lives which helps us open up more space in our minds and hearts. Regularly practicing gratitude has been shown to reduce stress levels while making us feel more emotionally connected and resilient.
How to Practice Gratitude
If you’re not sure where or how to start practicing gratitude, here are some ideas: Make a conscious effort each day to recognize three things that you are thankful for, write down five people who have made a positive impact on your life, take time each day for self-reflection; consider writing down your thoughts or jotting down moments from your day that made you smile. Keep a daily journal where you write down one thing that happened during the day that made you feel grateful.

Express appreciation for someone else; this could be as simple as sending out a thank-you card or leaving an encouraging note somewhere unexpected - Acknowledge any successes (no matter how small!) throughout your day or week - When facing difficult feelings or challenges, take time to appreciate all the ways in which these experiences have helped you grow - Focus on all the beauty around you and appreciate nature.
Practicing gratitude is a powerful tool in reducing stress levels while increasing happiness and emotional resilience.
